BOTOX® Cosmetic – Reduced Wrinkles, Youthful Looking Skin What is BOTOX® Cosmetic? Will BOTOX® Cosmetic Work For You? Crow's Feet Glabella (eleven lines)
What is a Wrinkle?
Brow lines, crows feet and forehead wrinkles actually result from muscle movement and the passage of time. When you frown and pull your brows together, underneath your skin, your facial muscles contract, cause a pleating of the overlying skin, and then, as anyone can see, you're frowning. After years of crinkling and wrinkling, those facial lines start to linger longer and can become more pronounced. For women, whose faces tend to be more animated than men's, and whose skin is typically more delicate, these lines may appear exaggerated and more permanent. Fortunately there is a way to temporarily reduce these moderate to severe facial lines. Treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic can visibly smooth and soften moderate to severe brow lines, crows feet and forehead wrinkles. An improvement can be seen within days and may last up to 4 months. In clinical trials, nearly 90% of men and women surveyed rated the improvement in the appearance as moderate to better one month after treatment.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, non-surgical treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe brow lines, crows feet and forehead wrinkles. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for glabellar lines.
One 20-minute treatment—a few tiny injections—and within days there's a noticeable improvement. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those facial lines to form over time.
The proof for BOTOX® Cosmetic is in the numbers.
-In clinical trials, 90% of men and women rated improvement in their appearance as moderate to better 1 month after treatment.
-Results can last up to 4 months, and may vary.
-BOTOX® Cosmetic was approved by the FDA in 2002. Almost 3.3 million procedures were performed in 2005 alone.
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery ranked BOTOX® Cosmetic as the most popular aesthetic procedure in the United States for the fourth year in a row (surgical and non-surgical combined).
What can You expect from treatment? Does it Hurt?
The beauty of a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment is that it's a simple, 15-minute, non-surgical process. A few tiny injections, and within days there can be a noticeable reduction in moderate to severe brow lines, crows feet and forehead wrinkles that can last up to 4 months. And there’s no recovery time. You can even do it on your lunch break.
One of our certified aesthetic registered nurses will administer several tiny injections of BOTOX® Cosmetic directly into the muscles that cause those moderate to severe frown lines to form. Our nurses will determine where to administer the injections by examining your ability to move certain facial muscles. location, size, and use of the muscles that create wrinkles in the brows, crows feet and forehead vary greatly among individuals.
No anesthesia is required, although the nurse may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to injecting. Discomfort is usually minimal and brief.
You may see a dramatic reduction in the moderate to severe facial lines within days. Improvement may continue for as long as a month, and could last up to 4 months.

Juvederm Injectable Gel- Provides Volume Replacement and Wrinkle Correction
What is Juvederm? What is it made of?
Juvederm is a colorless hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into facial tissue to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. The role of hyaluronic acid is to deliver nutrients, hydrate the skin by holding in water and act as a cushioning agent.
What does it do?
Juvederm™ Ultra injectable gel temporarily adds volume to facial tissue and restores a smoother appearance to the face. Juvederm provides a smooth, natural look and feel—so everyone will notice, but no one will know! In fact, studies show superior results of Juvederm compared to collagen-based dermal filler with results lasting about 9 months to 1 year.
What are possible side effects?
Most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short lasting (7 days or less). The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injection-site reactions such as: redness, pain or tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. As with all skin-injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.
Are there any reasons why I should not receive JUVÉDERM™ Ultra Injectable gel?
On of our certified aesthetic nurses will ask about your medical history to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for treatment. Juvederm™ Ultra injectable gel should not be used in patients who have:
• Severe allergies marked by a history of anaphylaxis or history or presence of multiple severe allergies
• Patients with a history of allergies to Gram-positive bacterial proteins
What will be discussed at my consultation? What should I expect following the procedure?
A brief medical history including allergies, recent illness, history of facial surgeries, and an overall skin assessment will be completed. We will ask you to tell us what bothers you most about your appearance and then devise a treatment plan based on your goals.
Do the injections hurt?
There may be some discomfort during and after the injection. Juvederm™ Ultra injectable gel is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce injection discomfort. A dental block is provided to make this procedure as comfortable as possible. Ice is also utilized to reduce redness and swelling at the injection sites.
Your nurse will tell you what to expect following treatment with Juvederm™ Within the first 24 hours, you should avoid strenuous exercise, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages. Exposure to any of the above may cause temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the injection sites. If there is swelling, you may need to place an ice pack over the swollen area. You should ask your nurse when makeup may be applied after your treatment.
Does the correction last forever?
No. Correction is temporary; therefore, touch-up injections as well as repeat injections are usually needed to maintain optimal correction. Less material (about half the amount) is usually needed for repeat injections. Results typically last 9 to 12 months depending on treatment area.

Restylane® – A Long Lasting Natural Enhancement for Wrinkle Correction
Restylane® offers moderate to severe wrinkle correction and is an extremely effective, immediate solution to fill the nasolabial folds (Lines from the nose to the corner of mouth). Restylane® can also be used to augment the lips for a fuller look and enhance facial contours in cheeks and chin. Our certified aesthetic, registered nurses offer free consultations to evaluate if Restylane® is right for you.
What is Restylane?
Restylane® is a crystal-clear, biodegradable Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid gel, injected into the dermis in tiny amounts with a very small needle. The result is instantaneous, producing a long-lasting, natural enhancement that is safe to the skin and body. Since it was introduced in 1996, Restylane® has undergone extensive histological and clinical studies with an increasing body of evidence relating to its ease of use, safety, tolerability and effectiveness. Today, more than 1.5 million treatments have been successfully performed worldwide.
Where is Restylane most commonly used?
Wrinkles and Folds: Smoothing out folds and wrinkles by adding volume can make an enormous difference to your appearance. With Restylane®, facial rejuvenation can be carried out without the use of foreign elements, such as collagen, derived from cow bovine. When treating wrinkles or folds, Restylane® is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The injected gel produces natural volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. The results can be seen immediately. Treating wrinkles with Restylane® is fast and safe and leaves no scars or other traces on the face.
Sculpting Lips: Many people desire fuller, more sensual lips. Restylane® can help achieve this with the body's own material– hyaluronic acid. Lip augmentation can be carried out in two steps; pouting and contouring to create a more pronounced mouth and fuller lips. Restylane® is injected into the inside of the upper and/or lower lip. This is often combined with the marking of the contour of the lip by injecting the gel along the lip line. Redefining this edge leads to a more youthful and appealing look. This also prevents lipstick "bleeding" into the small lines around the lips. The lines that go up towards the nose can also be defined by injecting the gel into them. To achieve the optimal result, a combination of these steps is often used.
Facial Contours: Restylane® can be used to enhance the shape of your chin or used in your cheeks to bring out a youthful look. Just a touch of additional volume can make an enormous difference giving your face a fuller or more defined appearance. Injected into the skin, it corrects deep folds and lifts up the skin from cheeks and chin, giving a new shape to your facial contours.

Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide that is identical in all species and tissue types. It plays an important role in giving volume to the skin, shape to the eyes and elasticity to the joints. The use of hyaluronic acid is well documented in areas such as eye surgery and orthopedics. In the last two decades more than 30 million people have been treated with hyaluronic acid-based products. All products in the Restylane® product range are based on the same stabilized hyaluronic acid gel, called Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. The unique patented stabilization process provides Restylane® with an effective duration for up to one year.
Is Restylane animal based?
Restylane® is not animal based. Since Restylane® is a non-animal product, there is no risk of eliciting allergic reactions to those who are sensitive to common animal based foods, such as beef, chicken and eggs.

Forever Flirty Eyelash Extensions-longer, lush lashes everyday

What are Eyelash Extensions? How are the different from what I see at the store?
Eyelash extensions are the latest beauty trend for busy women who are tired of the hassle of mascara and makeup but still want to look beautiful everyday. The lashes are synthetic hairs that are applied individually to each natural lash using an adhesive that forms a waterproof bond with the natural lash. The end result is weightlessly beautiful look without traditional mascara. Extensions must be applied by a licensed professional and when done correctly cause no harm to the natural lash.
How long do they Last? Will they fall out after I shower or sweat?
A Forever Flirty extension set can last up to 8 weeks with regular refills or can be removed after a special event. An average lash life cycle can range from 60-90 days. The semi-permanent extension simply sheds as your natural lash sheds. Regular refills are recommended to maintain the full set every 2-3 weeks. We place new extensions on the new lashes as needed to maintain the desired look for each client. The adhesive creates a waterproof bond with the natural lash that will not slip or move during exercise, showering or any daily activities.
Will they look fake? Do you have different styles?
Lash styles are available in 300 different lengths, colors, and materials. Depending on the event and the client, Forever Flirty lashes can look naturally lush or extremely bright and eye-catching to accommodate individual client desires. A wide variety of colors are available including red, violet, blue, yellow, and of course traditional brown and black.
If I wear contact lens are they safe?
Yes, the extensions are safe for most people. Sensitive skin issues do not tend to interfere either because both the adhesive and lash extension are placed onto the natural lash hair not the skin of the eyelid. Extensions are actually a healthier choice for contact wearers because there is no mascara flaking or residue that can irritate the eye. No mascara is needed with Forever Flirty extensions. However, specially formulated extension mascara is available upon request.

Medical Grade Chemical Peels- younger, healthy looking skin
What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel involves a peeling agent, either Glycolic and/or Lactic acid being placed on the skin. These chemicals remove the outermost layer of dry and dead skin cells from the skin much faster than regular washing or exfoliation. This causes an increase in new cell production and newer more refreshed skin to appear. Our peels are light to medium and for maximum results must be repeated several times over several weeks to months.
How can the help my skin? Are they only for people with acne?
Our chemical peels work to improve the overall appearance of all skin types. They can also improve sun damage, blotchy pigmentation and fine wrinkling that may be present. A peel can improve acne-prone skin and clogged pores as well as superficial scars and age-spots present on the face, hands, and neck.
Does a chemical peel hurt?
With a chemical peel some warmth or mild stinging may be present. It does not require anesthesia and is very comfortable for most patients. A neutralizing solution is applied immediately afterwards and this removes the sensation. In addition we apply a cooling masque to further relieve any discomfort.
How is a chemical peel performed?
The peel begins with a through cleansing of the skin to remove all oils and debris. Extraction is provided to remove blackheads and other imperfections that may be present in the skins surface. The peeling agent is the applied evenly to the skin with a soft cotton applicator. The solution will sit for the prescribed time and then neutralized and removed. A cooling masque is then applied and removed. Finally, a moisturizer is applied and the peel is complete.
How will I look right after I have a peel? Will I be able to go outside?
A patient's response to the peel will depend on many factors including the depth and skin type. Our peels range from light to medium depth which generally results in a minimal amount of redness and/or scaling. You may appear slightly flushed but will be able to return to your daily activities immediately. Some dryness may develop over the next 3 to 5 days as you shed those dead skin cells. Applying a regular moisturizer SPF of 15 or higher daily will allow you to reduce any dryness during that time.

Microdermabrasion- Improves skin texture and reduces fine lines
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is an effective, non-surgical way to remove acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and sunspots by exfoliating the top layers of the skin. A no laser and no chemical option that uses aluminum oxide micro crystals to gently sandblast the skin leaving it smooth and fresh.
How can Microdermabrasion help my skin? Is it for all skin types?
Microdermabrasion can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, helps fight acne and remove acne scarring, evens skin tone, eliminates white and black heads, minimizes large pores, and revitalizes dull skin. It helps boost skin rejuvenation by increasing elasticity and natural collagen production for all skin types. There are some skin conditions that would make this treatment unsuitable, however, during your skin consultation these questions will be asked and determined before the procedure begins.
What does Microdermabrasion Involve? Does it hurt?
The treatment begins with a thorough cleansing. A hand-held device is pressed against the skin and the flow of micro crystals begins. The wand is then moved slowly across the treatment areas and dead skin cells are removed and vacuumed back into the wand along with any used crystals. Afterwards, the skin is soothed with a nourishing moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher and you can immediately return to your normal routine. This treatment is at most minimally uncomfortable and does not require any type of topical anesthesia. Mild tingling can be felt at times but no pain is involved.
How many treatments are usually required?
Your skin care specialist will review and discuss your personal skin goals and help determine a treatment plan to meet those needs. Most patients require several sessions spaced 2 to 3 weeks apart, which allows the skin time to regenerate between appointments. Most patients have noticeable improvement in skin texture after the second treatment and major changes are usually obvious by the fifth treatment. Once the desired effects are reached then treatments are suggested every 2 to 3 months for maintenance.
